Grief and Bereavement Counselling
Finding support when someone you love has died
Losing someone you love can change your world in ways you may never have imagined. Grief can feel overwhelming, isolating and exhausting, and sometimes it can be difficult to imagine how life might look in the future.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no timetable for how long grief should last. Everyone experiences loss differently, and your relationship with the person who has died is unique to you.
At Blue Lotus Counselling I offer a compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about your loss, your feelings, and challenges you may be facing.
You may be experiencing sadness, anger, guilt, loneliness or a sense of emptiness. You may feel that those around you expect you to be coping better, or that they do not fully understand what you are going through.
Whatever you experience, you deserve to be heard and supported.
How I can support you
As a qualified counsellor and Certified Grief Educator with over 30 years of NHS nursing experience, I bring both professional knowledge and compassion to my work with people experiencing bereavement.
My approach is not about helping you forget the person who has died or telling you that you need to move on.
Instead, we can explore your grief together, helping you find ways to help you live alongside your loss whilst continuing to honour the relationship and memories that remain important to you.
There is no pressure to feel differently or to make changes before you are ready.
Taking the first step
Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, particularly when you are grieving.
You don't need to know what to say or where to begin. We can take things gently, at a pace that feels right for you.
